The holiday season is a sensory overload....of endless lists, gifts and ornaments, tinsels and trees, hustle and bustle, over-excited children and exhausted adults. But now after the table is cleared, the children put to bed, the presents stacked neatly under the tree.....it is time to pause....to sit quietly and breathe in the scent of pine and cinnamon, enjoy the sight of one favorite ornament swinging gently on a branch and to listen to the angels sing.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Design Studio and to all of you who stopped in this 

week-end to celebrate our open house and visit Mary Ann Johnson who brought her fabulous personalized ornaments, we say THANK YOU!!

If you missed Mary Ann, we have samples at the shop of her adorable ornaments, 

light up wine bottles and stemware...all can be personalized with name, year, school affiliation...she will be back at the shop in several weeks.. date and time will be announced soon, in plenty of time for 

gift giving.

To wrap up the festive week end, Linda was thrilled to receive the $50 gift certificate! Congratulations!!

Prayers of thanks and special thanksgiving ceremonies are common among all religions after harvests.

Traditionally a day for families and friends to get together for a special meal, it is a time for many people to give thanks for what they have.

Days until Halloween!

This is a great story.....a woman stopped in the shop yesterday and when she saw my IPhone hanging on the lanyard around my neck, she started to laugh.  Her daughter calls her "Wonder Woman" because  she is always saying, "I wonder where my keys are? I wonder where my phone is?"

Fall into Fall Girlfriend Fun!!

Thursday evening marked the fourth program at Design Studio and you can see what fun we had!

Fifteen wonderful women laughed, tasted, sipped as Mary Ann and Paula presented ideas for entertaining and decorating for fall and Halloween. These savvy shoppers also saved 10% on DS purchases.

Friends since they were two years old (!), Karen and Sheila model the latest in Halloween hats.
